Prenatal Yoga

When it comes to pregnancy, we know how to take care of you on all levels - physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Our comprehensive, holistic approach will help you experience a joyful, relatively pain-free pregnancy and prepare you for an easier postpartum recovery - all while holding you safe and loved in a welcoming community of women. This holistic Yoga program for Prenatal well-being, empowering birth, and a smooth transition into motherhood is for you if you are 12+ weeks pregnant.

Massage

Prenatal Massage

Tailored for pregnancy, the whole massage sequence is done in a side-lying position on the futon, supported with plenty of props, and seated on a chair. Prenatal massage can help

  • with stress regulation, and welcome the deep state of rest and relaxation

  • relieve the pain - especially the common pregnancy discomforts such as back pain, hip pain, and swelling

  • boost your circulation and reduce swelling

  • manage the sleepless nights

  • balance your pregnancy hormones, leading to a more uplifting mood and less anxiety

  • in releasing tension in the body which helps create more space for your baby to position optimally - using manual techniques you’ll experience the release around the pelvis and welcome in the freedom and spaciousness

Postnatal massage

Postnatal massage offers a lovely way to recover from childbirth and ease into motherhood. It provides a holistic approach to help you navigate the various changes that come with being a new mother, offering the ideal self-care routine for both you and your baby post-birth. Babies are welcome to come with you, of course!

Regular postnatal massages can alleviate discomfort and promote relaxation and nurturing during this challenging phase of motherhood. Beyond physical relief, it also addresses your emotional well-being by nurturing and rejuvenating your body, mind, and soul

Birth partners workshops

This workshop is designed for 21weeks+ expectant mothers and their birth partners, during which you will learn holistic Yoga and Massage techniques to help you experience a more relaxed and empowering pregnancy and birth. It is also a time for partners to better understand the course of labor and birth, their role in it, and how to hold space for the expectant mother in a most nurturing way.

Topics covered:

  • Stages of labor and birth, and how are they affected by the hormonal cocktail and the environment

  • Partner’s role and support during pregnancy and birth

  • Breathing techniques for pregnancy and birth

  • Traditional techniques that the partner can use to assist in coping with pain, to help the expectant mother find release in the pelvis and the lower back, as well as help create space for the baby to find the optimal position.

  • Simple partner stretches and massage techniques

  • Use of rebozo, birthing balls, chair, wall and other props to support optimal birth positioning

  • Relationship between autonomy and authority and how it plays the role in the birth experience

  • Active participation and responsibilities in labour and birth

Postnatal Yoga

Postpartum is hard, can be extremely lonely and isolating, and you don’t have to do it alone. Our Postnatal Yoga classes are not just a workout. Here you will find early postpartum safe exercises to gently nurture and nourish your body, mind, and heart in a supportive environment, meet your evolving body with love and care, and relax. Expect a super strong community of mothers, your neighbors with kids of the same age, a space to hold you in your baby’s quietest and loudest hours, and plenty of coffee dates post-class.

Feeding of any kind, baby-wearing, nappy changes, sleep, screaming, YOU through whatever you are going through - everything is welcome in our wild postpartum circle. Lower the expectations, show up, and the rest, leave to us.

Join our in-person Prenatal Yoga program on Wednesdays @ 8:30 am and Saturdays @ 11 am, or Postnatal Yoga on Wednesdays @ 10 am in our Battersea Reach riverside studio. Start with our intro offer 3 for 20£ and later join with one of our regular class packs or a drop-in.
